Socks

Yes I finished another pair of socks. This pattern from the spring Knitty 09 called Cirque. I made them with Bernat Sox yarn. I didn't like the way the toe was in the pattern, so I just grafted the toe closed. The pattern which I followed I think that the sock looked to be square, so I undid and redid the toe.

My daugther likes them and wants them but I said no these ones are mine. She can have the next pair. Maybe I am mean to her? I will think of giving them to her since she is a great kid and well behaved. God Bless and have yourself a great day.

OK I am trying to upload a picture but my computer just won't let me. So let me tell you that I did finish another kitty for my swap. This one is red and yellow, I will post pictures next time. I am also working on my second swap kitty because I decided to keep the first one I made.

Great the Picture uploaded today.

Now someone asked about my socks. I made them just from a basic sock pattern, I used size 3.25mm needles and casted on 64st, all socks are simple to me only because I have been knitting socks now for ten years or more.

Yes I finished another pair of socks. These are for my husband who has size 11 feet. I made them on size 3.25mm needles and 64 stitches. They only took me a week to make.

It's March Break now, so the kids are off for 9 days, they will go back on the 23rd.I have them signed up to go bowling and to go to the movies that will take up two days. The rest of the days well we'll just have to see what we do. God Bless and have yourself a great day.

Swap Project

Just finished this one this morning. I signed up for an Amigurumi kitty swap over on "Swap-Bot" . Someone else likes them but can't make them so I decide to make one for her and she can make me something else that she enjoys making. I need to make up another kitty amigurumi, I think I will make up a different one and not send the partner the same kitty.

Here is my last crochet Birthday gift. The party was postponed and set to another date this Sunday. so I had more time to make a toy for my daughter's friend. I also made a pair of socks to go with it.

Here is a picture of the first bag I made, it didn't felt the way I would have liked it. I think it is to thick I wanted a thinner bag so I made a second one. The picture below is a much nicer bag to my liking anyway. I have divided slots inside so I can separate my thing. I like it much better.

I am not sure what you as a reader would like. I am asking if you would like to see more photos or would you like to do more reading of things I do?

More Knitted Toys

More knitted toys, My daughter has a Birthday Party to go to this weekend and I am never to sure of what gift to give. Now a days people just give gift cards, but I like to give something handmade and unique. I am working on another toy for the party, but if I don't have time to finish it I will give this one.

I have been thinking about starting my own podcast, but yes but, I don't think I will only because I can not be consistent on updating my blog weekly. Besides I wouldn't know what to talk about. What would you talk about on a podcast anyway. There are alot of knitting podcast out there already.

I have done more knitting but just haven't gotten around to taking pictures. I have made two felted bags just because the first one I didn't like. I would have made another one if the second one didn't turn out. I will try to getting around to taking photos and posting for you to see.

My son turned 10 yesterday and I didn't make him anything but I did get him a mp3 cd player something that he wanted, only because he likes to use mine. He is the little guy in the picture of the soctopus toy above. Thats all for now so take care and God Bless.

New Year

Well the new year has arrived and I have been busy with my puppies. I still have one puppy left looking for a new home. He is 3 months old now. The puppies were ready yo go at 6 weeks but because it was Dec. 23 too close to Christmas I didn't advertise, only because I don't want them to go to someone buying for a gift and the person getting the gift doesn't want it. It is a really big job taking care of a puppy. Sure they are cute but they need work too.

Update the puppies are all gone to new homes. I was a little ticked off with the one lady that told me her sad story, so I reduced my asking price to make her and her (everyone laughs at her) daughter be able to get a puppy. Some how it wasn't supposed to be she didn't come to get the dog and I did get my asking price from another lady.

Enough of the puppies I have been busy with birthday gifts for my childrens friends. My son has yet another B.D. party to go to for this weekend and I need to get a couple pair of socks done. My daugther has a B.D. party for March 1st and I would like to make Sheldon for her. I have already done one and now working on a second one.

Chritmas Knitting

Some plain old slippers because the winter is cold and we can always have something warm on our feet.

Here are some hiking socks everyone can use them so I made up a few to give as gifts.

Here is a pair of fancy cable socks. it took me a few months to make this pair only because I was busy working on the other christmas gifts that really needed to be done.

Here is a update on the puppies these photos are of the girls one is sleeping. They are ready to go. I called the man who said that he wanted another one, well as usual they change they mind. So I have no buyers yet .

Here is a photo of the last litter of puppies, this is at 3 weeks old. They are now 5 weeks just about ready to go. I have one or maybe two gone I need to make a couple of calls first.

This is a pig I made from the "Pattern A Day Calender 2008". I want to get the 2009 calender as well, but I will have to wait and see.

Here is a hat the Thorpe Pattern, I put in a lining to make it warmer.

These are a pair of Monkey sock (a Cookie a pattern). These three are gifts for my daugther's friend from school. I still have more gifts made up I just need to take pictures and post them, but tomorrows another day. Have yourself a great day and God Bless All my readers.

Well I am back

Sorry to all you readers who might have missed me. I have been busy, all the puppies have found homes, for all you that are wondering about them. Now I did get another litter, this one was three, one boy and two girl they were born Nov. 11th , Remembance Day for us here in Canada. I will post pictures for you to see, as soon as I take some.

I also have been busy with the christmas knitting and yet to post in the Holiday Kal Cal all my pictures (I still need to take those as well).

Not much more happening besides all the snow we have been getting and it's still snowing now. I am hopping to get back into posting regular, That only if anyone out there has missed me. Please leave a commet and let me know. God Bless and talk to you soon. Have yourself a wonderful day.

Just dropping in to let you all know that I haven't been knitting much. I did get the back and the front done in the Bamboo sweater that I am working on and a pair of plain socks for my hubby and son. I also did a hat for my daugther, but she is so fussy that I don't think that she will wear it. It has been made for a week now and it's cold out and she is still wearing her store bought hat. Her friend wants a hat and socks for christmas, so if I make the same just a different colour then she might wear it (I am Hopping). Kids are so fussy, but I guess I was that way too when I was younger.

All the seven puppies have found a new home. Now I am just waiting for the next litter, Missy is due on the 14th of Nov. Just a couple of weeks away and we will have new puppies, I love watching them grow.

Nothing Happening

Not much happening just doning the regular daily things. My puppies are just about ready to go they will be 6 weeks on the 20th. I have sure learned alot since having my first litter. I use to soften their food everyday and twice a day when they get bigger, but this time I did just a bit at 3 weeks and now I don't at all and they have their teeth coming in and eating the hard food. Makes it much easier for the people who buy them. Well here is a picture of them just a few days before they are ready to go.

Here is a picture of a doll that I wanted to make a dress for. So I made up a little knit in the round dress and not too bad of a fit. I just used some left over sock yarn.

Here is a little bear that I made up last night only took a couple of hours, now I need to put a face on him.

I am still working on the bamboo sweater. I did get the back finished and I cast on the front, it's half way done shouldn't be too long now. Then I can post pictures for you to see.

Student Awards

Yes my children got an award for not missing any school, 0 days absent. They both got a check for $100. Here is my daugther going up to recieve her award.

This is my son getting his award and yes he is wearing glasses, something new we just got them last week. He was the top of his class last year and now he looks like a nerd to go with it. He's ok with it, at least now he can see the board at school.

One more thing, there was a draw among the student that didn't miss any days for $50. and well the list wasn't very big there was only two, yes just the two of them so one was bound to win and it was my daugther but they both agreed that who ever won they would share. They had it planned before they even knew that they were the only two in the draw. Great for them.

On to the puppies they are well and doing fine. Here is a picture of the first litter. They are 15 days old here in the picture.

Not even a week and the second litter is born(Sept.14). Here is a picture of them at two days old that is this morning. All are doing fine and there are two girls and two boys.

Here is what I have been making for another swap, it's to be a sock monkey but I am not sure how to do one so I knitted one up instead, I hope she likes it. Now I just need to mail it off.

Puppies

This is what I have been up too making more flowers. It's for a swap I signed up on "Swap-bot.com", I sent it off on Monday. I hope she likes it. Now I am working on a monkey for another swap.

Yes you read it right I have a new litter. She had 5 but lost one the first day and the second one the second day. Now they are 4 days old and three of them are doing good. Here is a picture of the remaining three.

Here is the picture of the socks I am working on, this is still the first sock. I feel that I am a slow knitter in the summer time only because there is so much work to be done outside.

Here is the Bubby that I made I am not sure if I will send this off to my swap partner or if I should make something else. Yes I am in another swap this one is amigurumi swap over on "SwapBot.com". This pattern I got from Knitty.

Here Is the picture of the little bag I felted.Its only 3 in tall. The heart is the button that I need to sew on. I think it's cute.

This Picture is of the sweater that I won from The Old Mill Knitting web site. I am still working on the back as you can see. This is taking me a long time to do because I need to consentrate the pattern is p2 k1 p2 k3 rep. I get mixed up if I don't.

Just A few words to let you know I am still here and doing fine. Just a little busy with summer things, cutting grass, cutting fire wood and piling it.
Yes I am still working on the bamboo sweater but not much is getting done. I did start a pair of socks for the ravelry olympics but I didn't like the way they were turning out so I frogged them and started a new pair the "Spring Forward Socks" from Knitty. I did up another little felted bag and it's very small I will post pictures later for you to see.

I finished my plain Bernat Sox yes I said plain. I used the pattern on the inside of the ball band, next pair I make I want to make some fancy socks. But I need to make socks for my son he only has two in the drawer for the winter and before long it will be here. I might as well get ready for it.

This pair is for my daugther only because she likes blue, one of her favorite colours. Now with the left over yarn I will make her a tissue cozy. Now I get to start a new project. Yay... what to start humm I was thinking of doing an afghan but thats a big project. Maybe I will do crochet blocks and do a few now and then and over the time I will get one done. Ok I have been busy and not getting much knitting done but I did manage to get some things done. I did a Bogga Bag for my last swap and sent it off last week and she should be getting it soon so I will post a picture of it now.

More Flowers

Yes I made another flower and now my daugther wants a blue one, So I have started another one. This one I just finished is purple, what a lovely colour, pink and purples are my favorites.

If you are intersted in the pattern it is in the July 2008 issue of Creative Knitting. It is still on the stand until July 22 until the next issue comes out.

Critter Swap

Ok I joined yet another swap and my package arrived yesterday and now I am here to share all the goodies I got with you,well you can't really have them but you can look at everything I got. When she sent it she wrapped up all the goodies in the left over ball of yarn an I need to unwrap it to see what was inside. This is a piture of before I unwrapped it.

Now here is the picture of it all unwrapped for you to see.

There is Bunny buttons, sock needle protectors, stitch markers, row counter and a little keychain sweater.

Flowers

Now the bunnies are eating all of my sisters flowers in her flower beds. So I wanted to make her a flower, but as usuall my husband likes it and wants to put it up on the tv stand. So now I need to make more flowers but they are cute. I wouldn't mind having a few on the tv stand, just to brighten up the place. I shall make blue and purple ones and what ever other colour I have in my stash.

Wow the kids like my crocheting so they are looking up patterns for me to make, and this is one my son picked out a pikachu. He likes pokemon. His eyes are a little off but my son likes it.

Well I finished a second bunny and I even went outside with the camera to see if I could find the rabbits, what do you know when I go looking for them I don't see them and every other time I went out without the camera there they are hopping around. I did manage to get a picture of a small rabbit out near the swing look close in the picture to see him.

Here we have alot of rabbits running around out in the yard, yes wild ones. My sister lives next door to me and says I am always scaring the bunnies, so I decided to make one for here so she could have one that will never run away. But my hubby likes it so he claimed it now I need to make another one for her. Good thing I didn't tell her that I was making it for her she might be upset. No need to worry I can make up a new one tonight.

Desserts

All kinds of desserts out there but with strawberries , short cake is the best heres what we have been enjoying for the past couple of days. The strawberries are just about all used up now. My son doesn't like them but he loves the blueberries that we bought, that basket is all gone too.

I finished the pair of socks that I was doing. Here they are just trying to use up bits of left over yarn and my husband likes the different colours anyway.

I forgot to let you all know about the birds no I didn't take pictures this time and besides we didn't get to see them leave the nest this time but there was four of them the were gone yesterday. I am wondering if there will be more.

I did up all my Jam wow what a job that was. I did 28 jars, now we shall be good for a while. I like to make my own jam only because I know whats in them and store bougth jam you can never be too sure whats in it. Have yourself a good day.

Not much Happening in my world

Just thought I would put in a little post to let all you readers know that I am still here and not much happening.

I do have socks on the needles and the lovely sweater that I won from old mill knitting just have the first ball done and my size calls for 6 balls so 5 more to go. I also have the swap package on my needles but I will have to wait until I send it of to my partner to let you all see that or even tell you what it is.

Now for the pictures of what I am up to this morning. Not much but a lot of hard work. We picked 8 baskets yesterday and now they are in the pot cooking for jam. We must have eating a whole basket by now everyone just loves strawberries. We also got a basket of wild blueberries just one little 3lt basket and my hubby like to eat them with cream. We want to get more but the lady we bought them from says there are not alot out there so we will get what we can. I would like to make blueberry spread if I can get enough.

Don't they look good. I still need to clean 3 more baskets. I will just put them into the freezer for the winter months when we can't get them fresh. We like to make milkshakes and yogurt drinks from them. Now I am off to jar the jam they are all done cooking, have yourself a great day and God Bless.

More monkeys

Well I finally finished the second monkey for my son he wanted one when I made the first one. My daugther got the first and here is a photo of the two of them the one on the left is the one I just finished and the one on the right is my daugthers.

I am in a little critter swap on ravelry so that is going to me my next project I have already started it and will be done it later today if all things go well. I won't post any pictures of it until I am done mailing it off and she receives it. I am also working on a pikachu for my son he likes them sort of things. I will post pictures when I am finished that as well.

I went back into walmart and bought some more of the yarn from my last post, it's such a good deal I can't say no. Now what to make with all of it. I would like to make a felted bag, and maybe try some of the felted slippers. This time I bought blues, greens and reds.

The birds are back

Yes you read it right. The robin is back sitting in the nest, no signs of little ones yet but soon I am guessing. I checked it out, the robins have 2 to 3 nest a year. So I am going have more bird dropping on my step soon.

Enough of them on to my knitting. I got more yarn yes more yarn on sale this time at a $1 a ball for 100% wool. I plan on making a felted bag. Here is the photo of the yarn.

This is all I found when I was in the store, but I went back two days later and they must have put out more so me I bought more the second one is green and I got only 6 balls (thats all there was, if there was more I would have proably got more).

Ok I sent off the bag that I made for the swap I was telling you about and she recieved it yesterday and I am so glad that she likes it. Here is the picture I can now share with all of you. I didn't line it ( I still need to line the two I made for myself, I am not sure how but I will get to it) she is going to.

Finished yet another sweater

Here I finally finished the t-shirt that I have been telling you all about that I have been knitting for awhile. I am glad that it is done and now that it is finished I love it. It fits great and I want to make up another one with different colour yarn. Here is the picture of me wearing it.

I have a pair of socks on the needles for my husband only because he has been wearing them out and only has a few pairs left in his drawer and needs more. I also have finished the crochet monkey for my son but it still needs sewing. I completed the project for the swap I am in, as soon as she gets it I will post pictures of it for you to see. Swap Package

It's all gone. I put everything in and tried to publish this post and there was a error, Boy that makes me mad now I have to retype in everthing and all the pictures too. Oh way here goes.

I got my swap package and here are the photos to share with you all. This one was you make something for someone and that someone makes something for you. I have until June 15th to send her, her package. I am still sewing it, I hate sewing. I have finished the T3 (t-shirt) needs to be sewed now, I also finished my sons monkey it need to be sewed also. I miss my mother she used to sew things for me. She is now gone 9yrs, Cancer. enough of that here are the pictures to share .

There is a sweater for my dog, a felted bowl, chocolate(everyone loves chocolate), note pad, stitch markers, a tape measure that she painted a sheep on, scarves paterns, a book that I just love, and a TY. Here is a close up picture of the book.

My daughter loves the TY she had to get a close up shot of that too here it is.

Fly away

All the little birds are gone. I did get to see them off and took some pictures for you to see. here is the first one, running away.

More little things

Here I go again no knitting to show off but I did get more hair cuts done three of them. Two of them were their first hair cut and they were well behaved. Here we have a piture of Duke. For those of you who know me on Raverly his the puppy in my avaitar

What a good looking dog, this was his first hair cut.

Enough of him and on to the next one. This one is Cosmo, it is also his first hair cut.

And last of the dog photos today is Biscute, she is always good but shy.

Now to let you all se the progress of the baby birds. They are getting bigger and we are able to see them in the nest. They all have their heads sticking out, they are too big to hide in the nest. Soon they will be off flying around I hope to see this when it happens and if I do I will try to get pictures for all you to see.

Life's little things

About two weeks ago a robin started to build a nest in my porch. I asked my husband how long does it take them to build the nest, his reply was "I don't know I never built one". Ya thats a good one neither have I, I told him. It took about 2 days, now we have a nest and we have been keeping our eyes open and watching, the mother on father take turns sitting. Now we see 4 little heads popping out looking for food. The birds take turns feeding them. I was lucky enough to snap a picture and not scare them here is a couple of pictures to share with all of you who enjoy nature.

This is with the bird sitting and keeping the little ones warm.

Here they are quiet and sleeping.

This one you can see two of the four babies looking for the food.

This last one shows three of the four babies. I didn't want to take to many pictures and scare of the parent only because they may not come back to take care of the little ones.

More Hair cuts

Yes I have done more dog hair cuts. I did Kesha on Friday but forgot to take her picture. Then it rained all weekend so the day was dull. Yesterday was not to bad so I did Star's hair cut. I just went out now to get pictures and the day looks like rain again. Here is the lovely Kesha she was 8yrs on April 24, she's my oldest.

Now as for Star she is 2 yrs, I have so many I tend to forget which is which. Here is a picture of her hair cut.

I did both hair cuts with the scizzors since I can't find the blades for my razor and I don't want to buy a new set they are very costly.

Ok Kathy asked a question, I will answer. There are fancy snaps that need a small tool that puts them on to the fabric and has a nice outer button. The one I used was just the sew on type because there would be metal on the inside of the case and I don't want the Ipod to get scratched. I did use the fancy snaps for the baby cable sweater that I had posted it you are intrested in seeing them.

No yarn deals for this posting and no finished knitting to be posted. I am still working on the tee shirt, I have started another pair of monkey socks with a twist. The first sock is finished and working on the heel of the second. I still have the gift I am working on for the swap I am in just needs sewing. One more thing I started was socks for my husband, since he has been wearing holes and need new one and bugging me "When are you gonna make me my socks". So I started those for him. More Yarn

Well I went into the recylce store yesterday and got myself a great deal, more yarn. So it is red heart and it is acrylic, but it is still yarn. I will make a blanket with some of it and the rest I will make socks.

Now there are three balls of the green and three balls of the burgandy. One ball of the darker beige and five balls of the lighter beige. Now I got all twelve balls for only $12.

Here I made a second ipod case and liked the first one so much that I decided to make one for the nano ipod, I just used less stitches and it worked out fine, fits the ipod like a glove.

I got myself a video Ipod so I can watch the Knitting video podcast and of course I would have to make a case so I won't scratch it. So here is My picture of the finished case.

Here it is and it fits like a glove.

Of course my kids made me cards at school, I just love all the little things that they make. I try to keep everything but it's hard because I would end up with a room full, I know thats what my mom did and there was five of us kids.

Have you ever done a swap?

I have done the tiny wee sock one Oops I forgot to post a picture of the sock I recieved I will do that right now for all you to see here it is.

Ok what happened was, it was taking a long time for the wee sock to get here so she made me a second one with some pretty stitch markers. The second sock did not take as long to get here and now I have a pair. They are cute.

Now on to the swap package I joined a group on Raverly "Swap on a Budget". I sent off my package on the 29 of April and recieved mine in the mail just yesterday. I enjoyed doing it I might just do it again.

I got Sock yarn my favorite. I really enjoy making socks only because everyone wears them, and they are great little gifts. Here is a picture of the package I got.

Spring

Not much happining in my world. I have only finished one pair of socks. Here's the picture. Monkey Socks.

But I do have my knitting spurt back. I have started a gift for a Swap I am in on Ravelry, She knows who I am and know my blog so I will not tell what I am doing until I have it all completed and sent to her in the mail. I also have started another Tee shirt using the pattern "T3" from the knitty web site. It is working up fine. I am still on the first piece, the back. No dog hair cuts this week the weather is awful rain here this morning, but they are calling for sun, Yay.

Well that is all I have for this post I am hoping that the next post won't take as long as this one did. God Bless until next time. Oh I almost forgot I have started another crochet monkey. I only forgot because I am not working on it much. I have only the mouth and the head started, but once I get into it it shouldn't take to long. Here we are having rain this morning Yuk.. What I have been up too, not much. I had to get my oil change for my car on Monday and they noticed my rigth front outer tie-rod needed to be changed. I knew that there was a little noise in there but didn't want to spend more money. I did get it done and didn't cost as much as I was thinking, good for me.

Good thing I got one more dogs hair cut yesterday. No hair cuts today not in the rain but I still have 6 more to do. Here is a picture of little Dasiy she is the youngest of my herd and also the smallest.

The kids love to take pictures so they went nuts with the camera and took about 20 pictures so here is the best ones. This one is a close up of her head, she is mostly black.

No I still haven't started any thing new for my knitting and I am still working on the first sock. I think that this is the longest sock I have ever made, I just don't feel up to knitting. At least other things are getting done so I won't complain. Have yourself a awsome day and God bless.

Here is want I have been up to, another dogs hair cut this one is Rocket he will be 8yrs old on Thursday that is April 24th. Here is a picture of him before and after his hair cut. He is so good when he gets his turn he sits there and doesn't even try to get away like the younger dogs.

This is before, thats My little guy in the back holding him up so that he wouldn't jump down when I take the picture.

Here he is after, with a picture of Kesha with him. He's one of my oldest dogs, Kesha is the oldest she is only 6 months older, and she is the oldest that I have. All the others are younger.

I am stumped on my knitting, I don't know what to cast on next. Yes I do have a pair of socks on the needles but I like to have two projects to jump back and forth when I get board on one. Oh well maybe later today I will start something. I try to make for the kids but they don't want any sweaters, they did wear them when they were younger but don't like them now oh well to bad for them. Maybe they will change their mind when they get older. Kids are alway fussy even about thier food they eat. I can just imagine what my mother went through there was five of us God rest her soul.

New Bag

Here I am to show another finished project. This one is very nice and I think that I will use it on a daily bases. Not that I carry a purse any more, I used to carry the diaper bag and as the kids got older I switched to a purse just to carry the little thing that they might need and now that they are in school and don't go with me as often I no longer need to carry one. Any way here is a picture of it close up and also one of the whole bag. There are cables on it hope you can see them.

It's just the right size for my little things like my snack, ipod and such. Now I hope you all have a wonderful day, it's bright and suuny here and getting hot, God Bless.

New toy

Ok here I am again this time with my sweater all finished up and it fits great. This time I am happy with the finished project (I can see myself actually wearing this one). No one is up to take a picture of me wearing it so this one will have to do.

It has a hood, I was thinking of putting a front pocket but then it migth be too bulky. The yarn is light for those cool summer evenings and for the fall.I might even wear it today. I need to go to the hospital for a mamogram (eeeh yuk). Every thing is alright for those of you who might be worried no lumps or anything. My mother had Breast cancer and past away just over 9 years ago and my Dr. is just making sure things are ok.

Now on to the new toy, yes I bought myself this only because I found it cute here's the picture.

Yes it's a i-cord machine. It works great. I did up this i-cord in about an hour. The cord measure just over 10 ft. My daugther has the spool one and does it by hand and it has taken her over 6 mths to make one about the same length. Here is a photo of hers.

Well that is all for this time around oh one more thing what I am now working on, I do have another pair of socks on the needles and I have a knitted bag. Just about done the bag so a few days I will have finished photos to show to everyone, enjoy your day and God Bless.

Crocheted Monkey

I did get time to finish the Monkey. I only have one made and both the kids want the first one. What to do? I will make another one and make them wait till both are done then they can choose which they want(but then they both like this colour).

Well on my sweater I did manage to get some knitting done on it. I have one sleeve and the hood to go, and of course I will still need to sew it.

Crocheted bag finally finished

Here it is my finished bag. I put in my orange book to show more of the details. I am not sure what I am going to use the bag for but its done.

There is a draw string in there to close up the bag, I made it the same colour so it is hard to see.

Next I shall tell you what I am working on. I am doing another sweater, the front is complete the back is just about finished. Then two sleeve and a hood so that shouldn't take to long.

Also I am working on a crocheted Monkey, Yes a stuffed toy for the kids. They both would like one(I am still working on the first one). I have the head done the body the two legs finished and now working on the arms then the tail. I am hoping to have it finished today, but I do need to sew it together. Wow I sure got myself a good deal. When I got home I was thinking that I should have bought more, but I don't even know what I am going to make from them. Here's a picture of what I got.

I think it was a good deal a 113g ball for only one dollar. Any sugests for what I should make?

Oh one more thing I am just about done the crocheted bag I need to sew it up. I should have pictures for you tomorow. Hello everyone, here's what I have been up too this weekend not very good pictures, she didn't like the flash and didn't want to sit for me. I cut her hair, now only 8 more hair cuts to go. I used the scissors not the razor this time only because I need new blades haven't found the time to go get any.

Well here I am again with a small finished project. This one is crochet.This one fits my Ipod or my Phone. Not sure which to use it for, I already have a case for my phone so I guess I will stick to the Ipod. Here are the pictures.

How's everyone? I haven't been up to much just doning these little socks for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap. My kids liked the first one I did so I decided to make one for each of them for their coats.

I have been working on another pair of the Monkey Socks, this pattern is so easy and nice to work. Next I am in a Cal (crochet along) on Raverly. I have a month to make up a bag that everyone is working on. There will even be a winner at the end for a prize (can't wait to see what it will be). All who are particapating will be able to vote for the winner, sounds fare to me.

Here I am with another finished project. I am still working on the second sweater from the Knit Simple magazine but got stuck on one part so I put it down and started a different sweater. I had it all done and off the needles but I tried it on, just a little short (I like my sweaters with a little length) and the bind off was a little too tight so I ripped back the ribbing and added a little length to it and now I just need to put in the ribbing and bind off (but not too tight).

More finished Knits

I did up a little handbag with some yarn I got for a bargin. It only took me a night to knit up and the second night I finished the handles and sewed them in place. Here is a picture of the cute little bag.

I also got to finish my second crocheted sock I had a tough time trying to make it match the first one. I ripped it three time the first was to wide at the toe the second the toes were to wide and I can't remember why the third time just didn't look the same as the first but I did it got them to match (best I could anyway). I decided to fold them down and not put in an elastic and I think they look good. Here is the finished picture.

Crochet Socks

Well I did try the crochet sock I finished one I need to do the second yet. I don't like the way the top is not like knitting where there is a ribbing to fit snug around my leg. This one seems to be loose. I am not sure what to do with it. My husband says to put in an elastic, hum not to sure how that would work out.

Well here I am again with a new post of finished socks. These ones are named Jaywalkers. It took me 5 days to do up not a bad job. I really need to get back to knitting my cargo pants. I am done three quarters of the pants now maybe another week if I don't start anymore new socks but that will be hard for me not to do. I would like to try and crochet a pair of socks next.

I finished my daugther's mitts this morning just in time for the cold day ahead. It is -17c when I got up this morning. It's only gonig to warm up to -10c not very warm.

I finished up the pair of socks. I am still working on my pants close to finishing the left leg. It's done in two parts left and right leg then sew together. My son has a pile of yugioh cards and I saw this pattern in the 2008 knitting calander that I have, and decided to make one up. Now that it is almost done he wants more to fit all his cards. I am not sure how many I am going to have to make to fit all of them. Oh well I can make him different colours. When they are done I wonder if his friend will like it and want one as well. I will just have to wait and see.

I started working on these socks back in Nov. but put them down to do christmas gifts and today when I picked them back up I am not sure if I still like them. I started them before in a deep pink colour and did not like the way that they were to tigth so this one is better but, I guess it's just taking too long to make up. Maybe I will try working on something else for the time until I feel up to these again or until I feel like frogging them to use the yarn for another project.

Here I am trying to keep up with the time of blogging I don't know how people can do it every day. I would rather be sitting and knitting in my spare time. Christmas was good everyone like the gifts that I made. I am going to try and post daily and take a picture of whats on my needles for all to see. New pattern

This one is a Steering wheel cover it is univeral can fit most cars and can be removed for washing( because I know how easy they can get dirty by the mechanic working on your car).

Materials:
Yarn of any sort that is soft and fluffy. In my photos I used Bernat Bling Bling, Baby Lash and Boa
Needles: size No 8 (5mm) 24in circulars.
Elastic: 1/2in X 3 feet cut in half(2 peices at 18in).

Instructions:
Cast on 130 st place marker and knit in the round for 6 in. Cast off.

Finishing:
Fold 1/2in and sew a seam and insert elastic. Do the same with the other edge fold and sew , insert elastic.

All done enjoy your new steering wheel cover.

Finished up my felted bag like the way it looks now that it is completed. I needed to wash it twice to get the felt look. I used bernat felting yarn I am happy with the finished product.
